Who we are

Founded in 2003 by Lil Melvin, Hands of Jesus is a Christ-centered, nondenominational 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to serving our community in the love of Christ. From the beginning our mission has been simple yet powerful: to be obedient servants of our God, meeting the needs of the widows, the indigent, and especially disadvantaged children – all through the grace and provision of Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Hands of Jesus is an all-volunteer ministry. No one, including the director, receives any form of payment. This means that 100% of all donations go directly towards feeding our community and keeping our doors open to those in need.

Each food distribution session begins with prayer, as we seek God’s guidance, blessing, and presence in everything we do. We believe that every act of kindness and every prayer offered is an opportunity to reflect the love of Christ to those around us.

At Hands of Jesus, we are more than a food pantry – we are a family of believers serving together to bring hope, nourishment, and the message of God’s love to our community.
